The cornerstone of the third day of the historic first ever visit of the British monarch to the Republic of Ireland, this celebration was broadcast live on RTÉ television in May 2011. The British Ambassador to Ireland hosted a Concert in honour of President Mary McAleese and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The compere at the Convention Centre Dublin on the night was Gay Byrne. Performers included RTE Symphony Orchestra, Westlife, Riverdance, Micheál Ó Súilleabháin, The Chieftains and Mary Byrne.
